Aloha tjhiphop! Very nice design, love the colors. Only thing i would have left out is "Livin in the 80s". But that is because i was build in 1973 and its making me feel kinda old. Jurassic almost, lol!
Two things: maybe decrease the tracking of the text a bit, bring the radio and cassette player a bit closer together, and line the pixels up a bit better. But that's all the criticism I have! Good work!
I too wish to have experienced a little 80's life, it's surreal how much more modern we've all become in the short interval of time since then, makes even the young and restless nostalgic! a few minimal critiques - There seems to be too much crammed into such a small space, the eye does not know where to look first, despite all the visuals being enchanting as they are -the guitar could possibly have been a little more smoothed in its curvature, but believe me, I know how incredibly hard it is to do that when you are working with pixeldesigns, so frustrating.
Besides that, I love this, and might i add - fantastic color palette. )
Yes, it is crazy but I suppose it's nice to live in this high-tech age. Even if it'd be cool just to experience things back then.
As for the critiques, you make a fair point about it being cramped, but I felt there wasn't a lot of space to work with on the front, considering the width of what I wanted to do and the fact I didn't want to put it on the back. I've also had a few comments on the guitar and I guess they're fair, it was frustrating to get it just so and I did the best I could but it could be improved a tad I'll grant you that. I'll certainly improve for next time. Thank you though for the critique.
Heh >.> I didn't think it was THAT bad, I mean, it was tricky but I thought I pulled it off okay. But I am very inexperienced with this so I should take note of other people's opinions for next time. Thank you for the vote though.
Voted! Very nice, very detailed! The color scheme is really cute and it's an eye candy! There are a few pixels I would replace (like on the left side of the guitar) but it looks lovely and feels very playful! Well done!
I really appreciate the feedback, this is basically my first attempt at original sprite art and getting the guitar right was a tad tricky. It seemed to look fine zoomed in that far so I kept it but I understand where you're coming from. Thanks for the vote though! I tried to keep it as eye-catching as possible.
